Since March 2020, No Kid Hungry has awarded more than 2,000 groups in all 50 states, Guam, Puerto Rico, and the District of Columbia with over $75 million. No Kid Hungry will focus on updating the way summer meals are provided as part of the Child Nutrition Reauthorization process in Congress, developing a more efficient program that serves more children. The group is also striving to eliminate administrative hurdles so that the focus will be on ensuring that children receive adequate nourishment.
No Kid Hungry is ready to back the President's budget plan for FY 2022, which lays the groundwork for the administration's American Families Plan by financing SNAP, WIC, and child nutrition programs. In addition, the plan supports pandemic emergency measures to address the food problem and aims to expand access to school meal programs in some of the nation's most vulnerable schools and districts.
