Often hosting a ServSafe class of his commission to encourage as many ServSafe graduates in his restaurants as possible. In collaboration with the National Restaurant Association Education Foundation, ServSafe furnishes educational programs, materials, and resources to advance America's restaurant industry. The organization offers numerous free COVID-19 resources and training opportunities to address related challenges in the workplace, including best practices for conducting food deliveries, providing takeout, and reopening dining areas for guests. For instance, the ServSafe Reopening Guidance: COVID-19 Precautions training session covers techniques for stopping the spread of COVID-19 and maintaining social distancing. Upon completing a training course, participants are given a Record of Training.
ServSafe's COVID-19 resources furnish updates from authoritative sources, such as the National Restaurant Association and the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. They are free to download. Examples include a cleaning and sanitizing poster and the Coronavirus: What You Can Do Fact Sheet, which is offered in both Spanish and English.
